Man has made giant leaps in a bid to understand the mysteries around him. Things like how continents shift, the shape of the earth, how mountains and canyons form and so on. Coming to the correct understanding did take a lot of trial and error, so sample this one.

True story, even in this day and age: there are indeed people who believe that we live on the back of a giant turtle. There are other theories that also claim we live on the back of a serpent or elephant, but this post is just about turtle theory – apparently the most popular belief in this category of beliefs.

It is better known as the Geoterrapinism Theory. It was first brought to the European public attention in the 1600’s when a man going by the name Jasper Danckeaerts heard about it from some Native American he stumbled upon.

It is not just the natives who held this belief of the world resting on the back of a turtle – the Indian and Chinese cultures believed in it too.

How To Extract ISO File Into Computer Hard Disk Drive

I think maybe some of you especially the IT technical may know about ISO file. It is an image file which in fact “the image” of entire CD or DVD. It means all contents in CD or DVD can be represented in a single ISO image and it usually come in a big size.



I believe most people always perform burning process to extract the ISO files and save their contents in CD or DVD. But, I prefer to extract them and save their contents into computer hard disk. It is because I don’t need to spend money to buy a new CD or DVD when every time the version of the ISO file I downloaded from Internet had been updated by manufacturer.



What You Need
Daemon Tools Lite. Click here to download.



Before The Procedures

First of all, you must install the Daemon Tools Lite in your computer. I had installed it in myWindows Vista computer.
Double click to launch the Daemon Tools Lite installer –-> click Continue –-> you will see the interface below.




Click Next –-> click I Agree




Click radio button Free License –-> click Next –-> click Next –-> click Install –-> wait for installation process running




This is an optional step. You can install this gadget if you want but I choose not to install. So, I click Don’t Install


Then, you will see the interface below




Click to clear the sign in both check box –-> click Finish –-> close the web browserappears on your screen.



The Procedures

Now, you have done installing Daemon Tools Lite software. At this second stage, you will begin to extract the ISO file.
Double click the Daemon Tools Lite’s icon in your computer desktop. See below




Then, you will see the interface below. Right click on Device 0: [F:] No Media –-> clickMount




The Open textbox like below will pop up on your screen.




Find and click the ISO file you want to extract –-> click Open –-> wait to allow image to be mounted.


Then, you will see the AutoPlay box below –-> click Open folder to view files.

If you don’t see the image above, right click on Device 0: [F:] KB3AIK_EN –-> click Open in File Explorer. See below




You will see the contents of ISO file like below.




Create a new folder in your computer desktop –-> copy and paste the contents of ISO file in step 6 into the folder.



Now all done.

South Korea is building a $1.5 billion 5G service that can download movies in a second

It may be the one of the most wired countries in the world – the most wired in fact when I last checked – but South Korea is not resting on its laurels. Now, they have launched this mega project that plans to roll out a next-gen 5G wireless service fast enough to download entire films at the snap of the fingers – in a second that is.

The announcement was made this week and put the figure required to realize the plan at a whopping $1.5 billion – USD. According to the South Korea science ministry, the 5G technology will be implemented within 6 years and will be about 1,000 times faster than the 4G services currently in use. And we thought 4G was superfast.

We helped fuel national growth with 2G services in the 1990s, 3G in the 2000s and 4G around 2010. Now it is time to take preemptive action to develop 5G. Countries in Europe, China and the US are making aggressive efforts to develop 5G technology … and we believe there will be fierce competition in this market in a few years.

Sloppy handwriting by doctors are responsible for over 7,000 deaths every year

That doctor’s handwriting you’ve always wondered about does actually lead to death big time! And the jest surrounding their sloppy handwriting is age-old. So much so that you would be curious if the physician’s handwriting was neat and legible. However, it may not seem much until something as bad as death occurs: just because someone wasn’t able to read the prescription right!

Medscape India – an NGO that spearheads a campaign against the practice – has observed that the number of fatal accidents as a direct result of unreadable prescriptions is on the rise across the world. The Institute of Medicine even went ahead to give a more detailed perspective by releasing figures: astronomical figures given the deaths are simply due to carelessness. They noted that poor physician handwriting is responsible for 7,000 deaths every year.

In some countries such as the UAE, patients can ask for printouts of the prescription to avoid stupid accidents.

The largest cell in the human body is the female egg, while the smallest is the male sperm

The body – human or animal – is one of the most complicated and fascinating things if you care to think about how some functions come to be. The average human body has about 10,000 trillion cells in total, but this disparity ranges widely with some estimates putting the figure as low as 50 trillion cells.

Now, about the largest and smallest cells in our bodies. How many of you knew this one – show of likes? Yup, the female egg, better known as the ovum, is the largest cell in the human body. It measures approximately one millimeter in diameter. The reason the ovum is larger than the others can be attributed to the fact that it needs the large size to nourish itself prior to implantation in the uterus.

Unlike other cells, the ovum is visible with the naked eye and you don’t necessarily need a microscope to spot one.

Surprisingly enough, the sperm cell takes the mantle of the smallest cell in the human body. It’s a case of David defeats Goliath, huh? The sperm cell is approximately one-tenth the diameter of a human hair.

Masturbation is good for you

The carried out a study in which participants were tested on their grammatical skills, logical reasoning skills, as well as humor, followed by which the participants tested their own abilities in those subjects.
